Job summary

Delta Dental of New Jersey & Connecticut seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance how we build, integrate, and operate cloud-based applications in a HIPAA-regulated environment. The role spans GCP, Azure DevOps, and automation, with a focus on IaC using Terraform and scalable CI/CD pipelines.

This hybrid position requires onsite in Parsippany, NJ two days per week (Tue/Wed), collaboration with security, network, and dev teams, and mentorship of the Application Services team on cloud

Qualifications

• Experience with GCP or equivalent public cloud and related technologies.
• Networking, compute, data and security services in cloud environments.
• Azure DevOps and deployment automation best practices.
• AI-assisted development tooling experience and familiarity with Claude Code or Copilot.
• Proficient in scripting languages (Python/PowerShell/Bash).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop and deploy solutions in GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL).
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting with Datadog.
• Provide remote off-hours 24x7 support on a rotating basis.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks.
