Job summary

Optum is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated build and release pipelines across environments. You will drive DevOps maturity in agile teams, incorporating continuous integration, delivery, and automated testing to deliver quality software.

You will work remotely within the U.S. with in-office requirements for certain locations; strong collaboration with Infra, QA, and Release teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT experience on web-based products.
• 4+ years with Kubernetes deployment tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• 4+ years with Terraform IaC.
• 4+ years with Azure, GitHub, and GitLab.
• 4+ years with DevOps teams, Agile, and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development lifecycle to improve quality and efficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of container architectures (Docker, Kubernetes).
• United States Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support a learning organization model through coaching, training, and mentorship.
• Lead a DevOps team through automated deployment initiatives and continuous delivery.
