Job summary

Excella, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CD solutions.

You will build automated deployment pipelines, ensure system stability, and embed security into CI/CD workflows to support high-performing software delivery teams across client sites and remote work environments. The role requires hands-on DevOps, automation, and cloud engineering experience, with scripting, configuration management, and container orchestration skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or cloud engineering.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, C#).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
• Command-line skills with Bash or PowerShell for OS management.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Packer).
• Experience deploying and securing infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
• Experience creating, deploying, and orchestrating code changes using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Elastic Container Service.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure networking and security, and deploying modern web/data apps via code.

Responsibilities

• Implement version control practices across code, configurations, and infrastructure.
• Develop deployment automation for infrastructure, apps, and security changes.
• Build and manage CI pipelines for rapid feedback on code changes.
• Apply trunk-based development to keep branches short.
• Create and manage test automation for infra and security features.
• Support test data management with security and data science teams.
• Integrate security automation into DevOps pipelines with InfoSec collaboration.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to teams.
• Contribute to Agile planning and DevOps initiatives.
