Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a major national laboratory in Maryland. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and operating high-performance cloud-based and hybrid environments for mission-critical workflows.

You will collaborate with software developers, automate deployments, monitor systems, and optimize processes across production, QA, and development. A strong Linux background and experience with Puppet/Ansible/Jenkins are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field with significant experience.
• Ability to obtain DOE clearance or DOD Top Secret with polygraph.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software developers to deploy and operate our systems effectively.
• Automate and streamline operations, building deployment, monitoring, and tooling.
• Troubleshoot across development, testing, and production environments.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and automation/config mgmt tools.
• Work with AWS and other cloud services; maintain stable infrastructure across environments.
• Assist with building and maintaining scalable deployment pipelines.
