Job summary

Envision Innovative Solutions seeks a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our Annapolis Junction, MD team. You will work across the software life-cycle, including deployment, automation, cloud infrastructure, and production support, supporting cloud-native deployments and DevOps activities.

The role emphasizes design, build, test, and deployment of changes to existing software, automation of manual processes, and improving infrastructure security; you will collaborate with the infrastructure

Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Experience in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software
• Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols
• Knowledge in identifying manual processes that can be automated
• Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
• Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently
• Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations
• Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues
• Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms
• Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
