Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines in a Norfolk, VA environment. You will automate infrastructure with Terraform, implement IaC best practices, and collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and Harness, along with Linux scripting and release management. Onsite work is expected, with 3 days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
• Hands-on Terraform for IaC.
• Extensive experience with GitHub Actions for build, test, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Harness for CD orchestration.
• Experience with Linux, scripting, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
• Implement IaC best practices for consistency across environments.
• Collaborate with dev, QA, security, and ops teams to streamline delivery.
• Build and maintain deployment, monitoring, and rollback strategies.
• Manage code repositories, branching strategies, and release workflows.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement DevSecOps with vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.
• Monitor health and troubleshoot deployment-related issues.
• Support cloud-native architectures and container workloads.
• Create operational docs, deployment guides, and runbooks.
