Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Development Engineer III to design, implement, and support our DevOps pipeline operations. The role emphasizes CI/CD automation, cross-team collaboration, and guidance to stakeholders while maintaining release management discipline.

Responsibilities include managing GitLab-based pipelines, Docker container architecture, and process automation across Windows and Linux hosts, with frequent interaction with senior leadership and multiple software groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing diverse DevOps operations and tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub), including branching, tagging, merging and release management oversight.
• Minimum of 1 year of containerization experience (Docker or ECS) on Windows and Linux hosts.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains GitLab.
• Architects and delivers DevOps pipeline operations to automate CI/CD for corporate software releases.
• Creates and maintains Docker images and containers.
• Identifies and automates manual processes.
• Improves build infrastructure, deployment, and DevOps processes.
• Works with JIRA and SharePoint.
