Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer to build, fix, automate, and secure critical IT, ICs, and IoT systems that keep the business moving. This high-impact role will help define and scale the infrastructure powering our fast-paced defense aviation startup.

Based in Los Angeles, you will collaborate with cyber security, software, and operations teams to implement IaC, manage AWS and Entra ID/Azure, and mentor engineers while ensuring uptime, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise IT engineering, architect, or system administration roles.
• Deep experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, and Intune.
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GCC High, GovCloud, ITAR, etc.).
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or similar pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 suite: Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint.
• Automate infrastructure and workflows via PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and C#.
• Secure and support Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices.
• Manage on-prem VM environments (Hyper-V/VMware) and NAS systems.
• Manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Entra ID/Azure, including IAM.
