Fooda, Inc. seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and secure our cloud-based infrastructure from our Chicago office. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency while supporting engineering and product teams in a hybrid setting.

You will design and maintain AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS), manage Kubernetes workloads, and implement Terraform automation. Collaboration with engineering is essential to optimize performance and security.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Terraform or similar tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog).
• Understanding networking, authentication, and security best practices.
• Experience with Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell).
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ and Redis.

Aufgaben

• Design, maintain, and optimize AWS-based infrastructure (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront).
• Manage architecture, billing optimization, reserved instances, and savings plans.
• Support Kubernetes (EKS) clusters including upgrades, scaling, and maintenance operations.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Perform upgrades and patching for core systems such as ElasticSearch, Postgres, and RabbitMQ.
• Manage automated scaling scripts for production and staging environments.
• Monitor and resolve performance issues including traffic spikes and bottlenecks.
• Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Manage and optimize costs for Postgres, MySQL, and SQL Server databases.
