Job summary

Valence is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to own and lead our AWS infrastructure for an AI-native coaching platform used by Fortune 500 enterprises. You will drive security, scalability, and cost optimization across multiple teams and collaborate closely with AI and product groups.

You will develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and optimize deployments for data-heavy ML workflows in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of DevOps experience in scaling B2B SaaS environments.
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure platforms across multiple development teams.
• Strong expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting (Shell/Bash); Go/PHP/Ruby a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and architect our AWS infrastructure for the LLM-powered coaching product.
• Design scalable infrastructure platforms enabling multi-team deployments.
• Lead security initiatives including SIEM, EDR, and automated scanning tools.
• Manage and optimize costs while ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Create and optimize autoscaling for varied workloads (webinars, ML pipelines).
• Establish secure network architecture with firewalls and routing.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple teams.
• Collaborate with AI team to support data processing and ML pipelines.
• Proactively identify infrastructure improvements and implement solutions.
