Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to enable development teams to deliver high-quality software with secure, scalable infrastructure. You will partner with multiple teams to implement industry best practices and accelerate delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of CI/CD, cloud deployments, and IaC, using AWS and Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions to drive robust pipelines and reliable operations. Onsite work is expected in Mossville.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (IAM, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, API Gateway, RDS).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices.
• Strong experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Experience deploying AWS infrastructure via AWS CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple development teams to provide DevOps guidance, standards, and troubleshooting across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Work with developers to create, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with developers to create, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
• Collaborate with a DevOps community to set standards and drive initiatives across Cat Digital teams.
• Assist developers in using cloud services and troubleshoot solution problems including IAM and networking.
