Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native DevOps solutions that accelerate software delivery and improve reliability. You will partner with cross-functional teams to streamline deployments and support scalable enterprise workloads.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, CI/CD tooling, Terraform IaC, and automation of pipelines in large-scale environments, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related disciplines.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on IaC experience using Terraform.
• Experience automating software delivery pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, scripting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure.
• Develop and maintain Terraform IaC for consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations to improve release cycles.
• Monitor and optimize performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Drive automation initiatives and promote DevOps best practices.
