Job summary

Nextiva is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and modernize CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling. You will collaborate with engineering teams to improve pipelines, reduce friction, and enable reliable, rapid software delivery.

The role focuses on building scalable automation, implementing progressive delivery, and integrating AI-assisted capabilities to streamline development workflows across a microservices platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in DevOps or software engineering with CI/CD focus.
• Hands-on with modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Buildkite).
• Experience designing pipelines as code and reusable templates.
• Strong Linux scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple services.
• Improve deployment safety with progressive delivery strategies.
• Create reusable templates and self-service tooling for teams.
• Optimize build performance and reduce pipeline feedback time.
• Collaborate with teams to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Integrate AI-assisted capabilities into developer workflows and tooling.
• Implement software supply-chain practices including SBOM and artifact signing.
• Use IaC to provision and maintain infrastructure supporting CI/CD.
• Monitor pipeline health and drive continuous improvements.
