Job summary

Black Book, part of Hearst Transportation, seeks a Mid-to-Senior DevOps Engineer to automate and operate cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines. You will work with software and data teams to improve deployment, monitoring, and production support, balancing reliability with velocity.

Expect an emphasis on automation, incident response, and learning new tools. The role covers AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure, IaC with Pulumi, and strong AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of DevOps and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD and cloud platforms.
• Comfort with AI-enabled tooling and learning new stacks.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate highly available AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Automate operational tasks with Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• Troubleshoot production issues across apps, containers, networking, and cloud infra.
• Improve observability, reliability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Mentor teammates and document solutions.
• Support customer-impacting issues when needed.
