Job summary

Centric Software is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Campbell, CA / Remote USA to partner with development teams and build, deploy, and operate scalable, secure applications across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will guide production readiness, automate infrastructure, and drive adoption of DevOps standards using AI‑assisted tooling.

Qualifications

24×7 production environments support experience.
Bash and Python scripting/automation skills.
Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm experience.
Kubernetes TLS/cert management and service mesh knowledge.
CI/CD experience, Jenkins preferred.
Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
AWS, Azure, and GCP experience.
Kafka/RabbitMQ and SQL/NoSQL databases experience.
Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic.
Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Working with development teams to onboard apps and adopt DevOps processes.
AI-assisted development/DevOps tool experience.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar platforms.
Onboard applications and implement consistent DevOps, deployment, security, observability, and operational standards.
Guide production readiness including high availability, scaling, monitoring, logging, health checks, security, backup, and supportability.
Automate infrastructure, application installation, upgrades, backup, and operational procedures using Bash, Python, Terraform, Helm, APIs.
Manage Kubernetes, Rancher, Docker, and containerized workloads across cloud and on-premises environments.
Architect and support deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Implement monitoring, logging, performance monitoring, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic.
Troubleshoot microservices and distributed systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB.
Perform root cause analysis and improve reliability, scalability, security, performance, and deployment processes.
Leverage AI coding assistants and AI-assisted automation to accelerate scripting, infra development, CI/CD, troubleshooting, logging, and testing.
