Job summary

Emporix in Poland is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (or strong mid-level) to ensure our headless commerce platform runs flawlessly on Kubernetes. You will design and scale cloud-native infrastructure using IaC, support developers, and optimize production environments.

You’ll own CI/CD pipelines, monitor security and reliability, and collaborate with the global team. English and Polish communication are essential, and a hybrid remote/work setup with monthly office visits in Gliwice is offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering.
• Kubernetes and GCP (GKE, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine) experience.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) expert with robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Pragmatic builder with ownership mindset in a startup-like setting.
• Fluent Polish and English (minimum B2).

Job description

Emporix is an AI-driven Autonomous Commerce Execution Platform that gives enterprises full control over how their commerce works. It orchestrates operations end-to-end—so companies can scale faster, respond smarter, and deliver better customer experiences. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (or a high-potential Mid-level candidate) to join our team in Poland. You will be a key player in ensuring our headless commerce solution runs flawlessly on Kubernetes, balancing the development of new infrastructure with the vital work of maintaining and optimizing our production environments.

You can work from our modern office in Gliwice or remotely from anywhere in Poland, with a visit to the office at least once per month to meet the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Infrastructure Design & Evolution

• Collaborate with the DevOps Team Lead to design, build, and scale our cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Support developers in running a complex headless e-commerce solution on Kubernetes, ensuring environments are reproducible and efficient.
• Continuously look for new, innovative ways to improve the infrastructure and stay ahead of technology trends.

Operational Excellence & Maintenance

• Take ownership of the stability and reliability of our platform, managing the balance between building new capabilities and maintaining existing systems.
• Refine and improve CI/CD processes and automation to ensure smooth, frequent, and safe deployments.
• Handle production support by investigating and resolving deep-level infrastructure issues and performance bottlenecks.

Monitoring & Security

• Use cloud-native solutions to monitor system health and proactively address potential failures before they impact customers.
• Implement security best practices across the entire stack, ensuring that security is "baked in" to our automation and infrastructure.
• Optimize system performance and cloud costs through data-driven analysis and tuning.
• Work closely with the DevOps Lead and the wider Engineering team to bridge the gap between code and production.
• Document infrastructure configurations, automation workflows, and disaster recovery processes.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the development team to foster a true DevOps culture.

About You

• Experience: You have 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
• Tech Stack: You are highly proficient with Kubernetes and have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, etc..
• Automation: You are an expert in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and have built or maintained robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Education: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Mindset: You are a "pragmatic builder"—you enjoy creating new systems but also find satisfaction in the "under the hood" work required to keep a platform stable and reliable.
• Communication: You communicate effectively in both Polish and English (minimum B2 level).
• Autonomy: You thrive in a startup-like environment where you can take a high degree of ownership and see the direct impact of your work.

• Security Savvy: Familiarity with OWASP standards and automated security testing tools (e.g., OWASP Dependency-Check).
