Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This remote role focuses on operating and scaling a SaaS cloud environment with emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and security.

You will automate delivery, mentor teammates, and help adopt AI-enabled infrastructure practices while promoting modern DevOps standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or Operations engineer in a SaaS environment.
• Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS) with Bash or Python scripting.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on operating and scaling a SaaS cloud environment with a strong emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and security.

The engineer will help solve complex infrastructure challenges, improve delivery through automation, and partner closely with technical teammates to strengthen system design and execution.

In addition, this person will contribute to the adoption of AI-enabled infrastructure practices while mentoring others and promoting modern DevOps standards.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Operate and scale the company's SaaS cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and security
• Design and solve complex system issues, proactively addressing performance and scalability
• Lead initiatives in self-optimizing infrastructure systems using AI to enhance delivery
• Facilitate team efficiency by breaking down complex problems into efficient work streams
• Drive best practices for infrastructure and mentor junior engineers on system design

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps or Operations engineer in a SaaS environment
• Proficiency in Linux systems, preferably Ubuntu, Debian, or CentOS, with automation scripting skills in Bash or Python
• Expertise in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with major cloud providers including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform
• Experience leveraging AI tools for infrastructure delivery, with knowledge of validation and ROI measurement
• Strategic thinker with customer-focused decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with a well-organized, team-oriented approach
