Job summary

XpertDox, Inc. is seeking a senior DevOps/platform engineer to own the cloud and on‑prem infrastructure for XpertCoding across AWS and our own hardware at our Scottsdale HQ. Production systems handle PHI under SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, and you will mentor engineers on deployment practices.

This is a hands-on, non‑managerial role. Based in Scottsdale, you will lead CI/CD pipelines, IAM, secrets management, and tooling like Cursor for AI coding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE experience.
• Production ownership on AWS across compute, networking, storage, identity, and key management.
• Hands-on Linux server management on physical hardware.
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC estate.
• End-to-end ownership of CI/CD pipelines, deployment gating and rollback.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, TLS, and certificate management.

• Own the AWS platform: architecture, access, provisioning, capacity, alerting, and cost.
• Own the on-premises infrastructure that runs alongside the cloud footprint.
• Own infrastructure as code: bring existing environments under code, and set module, environment, review, and disaster recovery standards.
• Own CI/CD pipelines for applications and internal servers: build, test, deployment gating, and rollback.
• Own identity and access management, secrets and key management, and least-privilege enforcement across environments.
• Own setup and configuration of Cursor and other AI coding tools for the engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers on infrastructure, pipelines, and deployment practices.

Our platform, XpertCoding, autonomously codes outpatient medical claims directly from clinical documentation using neural networks, machine learning, and natural language processing. We serve outpatient healthcare organizations in almost all 50 states, with deep expertise in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), women's health and OB/GYN practices, and behavioral health providers.

Position Summary

You will own the cloud and on-premises infrastructure that XpertCoding runs on, across AWS and our own hardware. Our production systems process protected health information every day, and our infrastructure operates under SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA. This is a senior, hands-on role. You will build and run the platform yourself, set infrastructure standards, and mentor other engineers on infrastructure, pipelines, and deployment practices. It is not a management role.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, currently hands-on.
• Production ownership on AWS across compute, networking, storage, identity, and key management.
• Hands-on management of Linux servers on physical hardware.
• Ownership of a Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code estate, including bringing an existing environment under code.
• End-to-end ownership of a CI/CD platform, including deployment gating and rollback.
• Scripting and automation in Python and Bash.
• Linux systems, networking, TLS, and certificate management fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare technology experience with direct PHI handling.
• Cloud data warehouse and analytics platform experience.
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or CKA certification.
• Hands-on use of agentic AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

Location and Schedule

This role is on-site at our Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. It is not a remote or hybrid role. Applicants from anywhere in the United States are welcome, with relocation to the Scottsdale area required before your start date. The role does not require travel.

Compensation

• Base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
