Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12 month contract in Plano, TX. The role focuses on CI/CD enablement, site reliability engineering, observability, incident management, and operational readiness for critical platforms.

Local candidates with hybrid work arrangements are preferred. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Jenkins experience, strong CI/CD skills, and a solid understanding of production operations and incident response.

Senior DevOps Engineer

12 month contract (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)

Plano, TX (Hybrid – Local candidates only)

Position Overview

This role will focus on CI/CD enablement, site reliability engineering, observability, incident management, and operational readiness for critical technology platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines, along with a solid understanding of production operations, monitoring, incident response, and software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related DevOps tools.
• Improve deployment automation, release processes, and engineering workflows.
• Support site reliability engineering initiatives focused on system availability, performance, and resilience.
• Develop and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards.
• Help ensure applications and platforms are prepared for on-call support and production operations.
• Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and service restoration.
• Support the Technology Operations Center (TOC) during production incidents and operational events.
• Collaborate with software engineers, infrastructure teams, and other technology partners.
• Contribute to automation and process improvements that increase operational efficiency.
• Use software engineering principles to troubleshoot issues and improve tools and platforms.
• Work within an IDE and demonstrate familiarity with modern software development workflows.
• Document procedures, technical solutions, operational standards, and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
• Experience with SRE practices and production reliability.
• Experience with observability tools, monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Experience supporting on-call readiness and production operations.
• Experience with incident management and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
• Some programming or scripting experience.
• Familiarity with software development tools and integrated development environments (IDEs).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale financial services or enterprise technology environments.
• Experience with Technology Operations Centers or similar production support organizations.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, or containerized environments.
• Familiarity with release management, change management, and production-readiness reviews.
• Experience participating in post-incident reviews and implementing corrective actions.
