Job summary

ECS Federal is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to join our Arlington, VA hybrid office. The role emphasizes building, automating, and operating modern cloud environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize cloud platforms, pipelines, and automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and scripting languages. Collaboration with software, security, and infrastructure teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field with hands-on experience.
8+ years of technical experience in DevOps/Cloud/Platform engineering and related domains.
Experience with cloud platforms, IaC, CI/CD, and automation.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate and improve scalable, secure cloud infrastructure.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
Develop automation, tooling, scripts, and integrations using Python, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.
Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms.
Design cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
