Job summary

Excella in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Continuous Delivery pipelines for high-performing software delivery teams. You will work independently to create automated deployment pipelines, ensure system stability, and integrate security best practices into CI/CD workflows.

You will apply trunk-based development, build test automation for infrastructure and security, and collaborate with InfoSec and data teams to optimize environments.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, C#).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
  • Command-line skills with Bash or PowerShell for OS management and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Packer).
  • Experience deploying and securing infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
  • Experience creating, deploying, and orchestrating code changes using Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, ECS.
  • Relevant work experience in AWS or Azure, with emphasis on network and access security and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics and continuous delivery best practices.

Overview

Senior DevOps Automation Engineers at Excella focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Delivery (CD) solutions. This role requires expertise in DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and automation techniques to support high-performing software delivery teams.

  • Relevant work experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure, with emphasis on network and access security and deployment via code of modern web and data applications and their infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics and continuous delivery best practices.
Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $119,983 - $172,850 USD. Excella is an equal opportunity employer.
