Job summary

Quantum Integrators in New Jersey is seeking a senior DevOps/Automation Engineer to design and implement reliable, idempotent automation and CI/CD pipelines for Linux servers (PMUL/Cybersphere). You will collaborate with security, release, and operations to meet audit/compliance requirements.

You will build Jenkins pipelines, develop idempotent install automation, integrate with artifact stores, and enforce secure credentials with audit logging.

Qualifications

• You have 6+ years engineering experience with 4+ years in DevOps/automation roles.
• You bring strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and package management knowledge.
• You have hands-on experience with Ansible (preferred) or Chef/Puppet and idempotent automation.
• You are proficient in Jenkins pipeline development and CI/CD concepts.
• You have experience with artifact stores (Artifactory/Nexus) and secure retrieval practices.
• You are skilled in Python and Bash scripting with testable scripts.
• You have experience with secrets management and secure credential usage in pipelines.
• You understand networking, SSH, firewalls, and access controls; good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) that fetch approved artifacts, verify integrity, install packages, and run post-install validations.
• Develop idempotent install automation (Ansible preferred) that supports install/upgrade/uninstall and rollback.
• Integrate with internal artifact repositories and implement checksum/signature verification.
• Implement secure secrets handling (Jenkins credentials / Vault), mutual TLS or token auth for repo access, and detailed audit logging.
• Add automated smoke tests, health checks, and monitoring/alerts for install outcomes and configuration drift.
• Document runbooks, rollback procedures, and pipeline design; provide knowledge transfer to ops teams.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise change controls and security policies.
