Sept 2017 Branding in Woodbridge Township, NJ seeks a DevOps Engineer to implement a viable end-to-end DevOps strategy aligned with CLS SDLC, enhancing CI/CD, automation, and governance. You will collaborate across release managers, development leads, QA and engineering teams to design, implement and automate build, release, UT and SIT processes, using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.

The role requires 3+ years in IT, strong scripting, Atlassian tools, SQL, and experience

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in (Linux) shell and non-shell scripting (awk, sed, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps design, development and implementation
• Hands-on experience with industry-leading build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Bamboo, GIT
• Hands-on experience with Atlassian Administration, JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence
• Knowledge of incident management tools such as ServiceNow
• Excellent understanding of automated quality assurance and test strategies
• Hands-on experience with SQL and with at least one DBMS such as IBM DB2 (preferred) or Oracle
• Hands-on knowledge of MS Office toolset including MS-Excel, MS-Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Experience in Agile Software Development Practices (Scrum or other)
• Development experience with Node JS or other web-based development a plus
• Prior work with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services a plus

Responsibilities

• Understand and assimilate the CLS SDLC requirements, processes and procedures
• Ensure a viable, consistent and efficient DevOps strategy is implemented in end-to-end development of applications and products
• Improve and integrate existing architecture with industry-best automation tools and practices
• Collaborate with release managers, development leads, developers, QA, and engineering teams to continually improve DevOps processes
• Analyze, design and implement CI/CD build, release and deployment automation
• Implement automated UT and CIT for CI/CD pipelines and extend to ST/SIT phases
• Institute and implement automated SDLC governance and compliance monitoring and reporting
• Plan, implement and ensure delivery milestones are met
• Provide automation solutions using design patterns and industry best practices for financial applications
• Proactively recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions
• Apply knowledge of industry trends to improve CLS in-house practices
