Job summary

CoBank is seeking an Associate Principal DevOps Engineer to design and automate AWS footprints, implement IaC and pipelines, and guide a cross-functional team in a hybrid work environment. This role emphasizes collaboration, security, and scalable cloud architecture.

You will lead deployment and testing across cloud and on‑premises environments, mentor peers, and contribute to best practices in DevOps within CoBank's flexible, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 6 years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud/IT Operations/SysAdmin engineering.
• 5 years with AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud services.
• Advanced experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools.
• Strong CI/CD tooling experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Strong container orchestration experience (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid networking, security, and compliance knowledge in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect CoBank's AWS footprints for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Implement IaC and Pipeline as Code with Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Develop automation solutions for infrastructure and app deployment.
• Design and implement Kubernetes clusters; monitor and log with Prometheus/ELK.
• Mentor junior team members and enforce DevOps best practices.
