Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC. is seeking a research scientist to lead and execute experiments for research and product development in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent research experience preferred.
• Hands-on lab experience with immunoassay development is desirable.
• Supervisory/management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and executes experiments to support research, feasibility, and product development.
• Prepares experimental procedures, maintains lab notebooks, and prepares batch/test records.
• Analyzes data using appropriate software and prepares tables/graphs.
• Presents findings to peer groups and managers and makes recommendations for project advancement.
• Troubleshoots and optimizes experiments and communicates solutions to managers.
• Performs literature and market research on new research or product areas.
• Procures reagents and equipment needed to perform experiments.
• Establishes and monitors direct report performance and development goals.
• Prepares invention disclosures, patent applications, grants, posters and papers.
• Works cross-functionally with other business units on projects/deliverables.
• Follows laboratory safety policies and maintains compliance.
