Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics, LLC. seeks a scientifically strong leader to drive research and product development across disciplines in the clinical and life sciences fields. You will design, execute, and supervise experiments, analyze data, and present findings to stakeholders.

The role involves cross-functional teamwork and a strong emphasis on safety and compliance. Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field is preferred; postdoc or industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Postdoctoral or industrial experience preferred.
• Master’s degree may be considered with additional years of independent and productive research or development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be considered with additional years of experience including a minimum of 6 years hands-on experience with the MSD platform.
• Minimum of 6 years laboratory experience with immunoassay development in industry, supervisory/management experience.
• Strong publication record desired.
• Experience in analyzing complex scientific data required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, and executes experiments to support research, feasibility, and product development and qualification efforts.
• Leads technical teams to accomplish project goals and coordinates work of team members.
• Prepares and maintains experimental procedures and records.
• Analyzes data using appropriate software and prepares tables/graphs.
• Presents findings to peers, managers, or clients and recommends next steps.
• Troubleshoots and optimizes experiments; communicates issues and solutions.
• Performs literature and market research on new areas.
• Procures reagents and equipment for experiments.
• Provides performance feedback and development direction to staff.
• Collaborates with other business units on projects and deliverables.
• Ensures compliance with laboratory safety policies.
