Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Development Lead to guide our Development & Engineering team in a hybrid role across frontend and backend technologies. You will mentor engineers and drive secure, high-quality software within an Agile framework, collaborating with Solution Architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience including lead-level accountability.
Proven full-stack development experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python and Flask.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and OpenAPI/Swagger standards.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask.
Lead sprint-level technical delivery by breaking down requirements and coordinating work across teams.
Drive engineering quality through reviews, testing standards, and secure coding practices.
Serve as a primary technical resource for resolving blockers and tradeoffs.
Collaborate with Solution Architects to execute designs and elevate architecture decisions.
Partner with DevOps to support CI/CD, automated testing, security requirements, and deployment readiness.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
Support Agile delivery practices including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
