Job summary

Merlin Labs in Boston, MA is seeking a senior Systems Engineer to lead requirements development, system design, and verification for FAA/EASA/DOD certified avionics programs. You will work on a small, agile team interfacing with safety, hardware, and software groups.

This on-site role emphasizes MBSE, ARP4754A and DO-178B/C experience, developing system-level requirements and interfaces, and coordinating with customers, suppliers, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Experience leading systems engineering in FAA/EASA/DOD certification programs (4+ years with MS).
• Develop system-level requirements, architecture, interfaces, and verification plans.
• Hands-on experience certifying avionics using ARP4754A and DO-178B/C.
• Ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of operation concepts and system architecture.
• Capture, document, and communicate requirements and interfaces across teams.
• Manage systems engineering tasking and align disciplines for timely completion.
• Perform system-level verification and validation activities.
• Develop systems engineering development plans and processes as needed.
• Participate in artifact reviews with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
