Job summary
US Tech Solutions in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior Developer Workspace Engineer for a 12-month contract at $80-$90/hour.
You will design and deploy developer workspaces (physical, virtualized, or browser-based), build Python/Java tooling, improve CI/CD, and integrate Generative AI features while aligning with audit and governance standards.
The role requires strong communication to evangelize best practices across the developer community.

- Experience in development and end-user technology.
- Strong Python and Java proficiency.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement developer workspaces using physical, virtualized, or browser-based solutions.
- Develop tools primarily in Python and Java to enhance developer workflows.
- Advocate for and implement CI/CD improvements through new tooling and libraries.
- Create patterns to manage desktop provisioning and software package management using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies.
- Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into Developer workflows, enhancing the value proposition for customers.
- Partner with end-user collaboration suites to create seamless developer experiences.
- Ensure all solutions meet audit, risk, and governance requirements.
- Evangelize best practices and solutions within the developer community.
