Zillion Technologies, Inc. in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior Developer Workspace Engineer to design and build developer workspaces and tooling for seamless onboarding and day-2 support.

You will develop tools in Python and Java, drive CI/CD improvements, and lead AI integrations to enhance developer workflows while ensuring governance and security compliance.

Job Title : Senior Developer Workspace Engineer

Locations:. Onsite in Mclean, VA (5 days a week)

Job Overview:

The Senior Developer Workspace Engineer is a multifaceted role combining Development expertise, end-user technology proficiency, and technical evangelism. This position focuses on designing, building, and advocating for developer workspaces and tooling to ensure seamless developer onboarding and day-2 support.

• One Part Experienced Developer
• One Part End-User Technology Expert
• One Part Tech Evangelist

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tools primarily in Python and Java to enhance developer workflows.
• Advocate for and implement CI/CD improvements through new tooling and commonly available libraries.
• Create patterns to manage desktop provisioning and software package management using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies.
• Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into Developer workflows, enhancing the value proposition for customers.
• Partner with end-user collaboration suites to create seamless developer experiences.
• Ensure all solutions meet audit, risk, and governance requirements.
• Evangelize best practices and solutions within the developer community.

Compensation:

$90.00 – $95.00 per hour. This is the targeted compensation range for this role per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
