Job summary

Okta in Toronto is seeking a Senior Developer Support Engineer on the Builder Experience team to help customers and partners seamlessly integrate our secure identity platform. You will own complex issues, reproduce them, and provide robust workarounds and best practices for scale.

You will collaborate with product and engineering, write knowledge articles, and advocate for customers across the ecosystem. In-person orientation and 2 days/week in the Toronto office are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/MS in CS, MIS, or related technical discipline with 4+ years of developer support or customer-facing software experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and empathy for developers and customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud apps, and modern web frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of complex customer issues and drive to resolution with technical excellence and best customer experience.
• Reproduce issues in a local environment and create accurate bug tickets for Engineering.
• Provide expert guidance with robust workarounds and best practices for developers and partners to integrate at scale.
• Write high-quality knowledge articles for self-service resolution across customers and developer ecosystem.
• Act as a trusted advisor for customers, ISVs, and strategic partners and advocate to product/engineering.
• Channel customer insights back into cross-functional teams to influence product direction.
• Build internal tooling using AI-assisted development tools like Claude.
