Job summary
Runway is seeking a senior or staff product designer to shape the developer platform, including API docs, dashboards, keys, and other developer touchpoints. This is a remote role for the US.
You will design the developer console and API docs experience, prototype playground tools and code samples, and translate evolving endpoints into clear interfaces while mentoring other designers.
Collaborate closely with platform engineering to ensure a cohesive, scalable experience across the product.
Qualifications
- Experience designing developer-facing products and platforms.
- Translate technical concepts into developer interfaces without manuals.
- Strong visual design for web products.
- Iterate quickly with engineering teams.
- Interest in generative AI for developers.
Responsibilities
- Design the developer console and API docs experience, from account setup and API keys to usage, billing, and rate limits
- Prototype and ship playground tools, quickstarts, and code samples for testing endpoints before integration
- Turn new models and endpoints into clear, well-documented interfaces as the platform ships
- Collaborate with platform engineering on authentication, webhooks, and technical flows
- Contribute to visual and interaction consistency between the developer platform and Runway's product
- Set design direction for the developer platform and mentor other designers
