Job summary

Floor & Decor seeks a Senior Developer to join the Connected Customer Team. You will build and enhance loyalty, payments, CRM, purchase history, and eCommerce experiences using cloud-native Java microservices on Azure.

Lead, design, and implement scalable backend solutions while collaborating with product, marketing, and payments teams. Responsibilities include data modeling, ETL pipelines, BFF services, and secure integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years developing and deploying Java applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, Git.
• Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Event Hubs, Service Bus).
• Experience building ETL processes or Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and operational data management.
• Experience designing/consuming Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) APIs.
• Experience integrating payment processing solutions and CRM platforms.
• Experience building scalable microservices and using DevOps tools (GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, SonarQube).
• Excellent communication and collaboration in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native services for Loyalty Engine, CRM integrations, Order History, and APIs.
• Build scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot and Azure cloud technologies.
• Develop and maintain Backend-for-Frontend services for digital customer experiences.
• Partner with Payments, Marketing, and other teams to design secure service integrations.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
• Participate in full software lifecycle including design, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Support integration testing and application hardening before major releases.
• Write advanced SQL queries and assist data modeling initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers and code reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and development standards.
