Job summary

Citizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) and Maintenance Scheduling Module (MSM). You will guide teams, support architectural decisions, and ensure delivery of secure, scalable software for critical Air Force operations.

The role requires 8+ years in software development, strong leadership, and a track record in enterprise solutions using COBOL, C#, Python, TypeScript, Angular,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in technical leadership, software architecture, or lead developer support.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with source code management, version control, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Local to Montgomery, AL.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership, software architecture, or lead developer support within a software development environment.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
• Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and establishing software development best practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using multiple technologies such as COBOL, C#, Python, TypeScript, Angular, SQL, or related technologies.
• Experience supporting web-based, client-server, and enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and supporting SQL-based applications, database queries, and system integrations.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with source code management, version control, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Local to Montgomery, AL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting IMDS/MSM.
• Experience supporting Air Force maintenance, logistics, readiness, or sustainment systems.

• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), generative AI, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics capabilities to improve software development, data analysis, operational efficiency, or decision support.

Clearance Requirement

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
