Citizant is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team supporting the FMxC2 application for Air Force logistics. The role focuses on ensuring security, reliability, and performance of critical databases used by enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in DBA, experience with relational databases, SQL, backup and recovery, and collaboration with COBOL/C# developers. Local to Montgomery, AL, U.S. citizen, eligible for Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of database administration experience.
• Experience with enterprise relational database environments.
• Experience with database installation, configuration, maintenance, and patch management.
• Experience with backup, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Experience implementing database security controls and access management.
• Experience supporting database upgrades, migrations, or modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with SQL and database query optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Local to Montgomery, AL.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team supporting the Field Maintenance Command and Control (FMxC2) application. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical mission operations within the Air Force, ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of essential database systems that support logistics and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal database performance and security in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and maintain database environments supporting FMxC2.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
• Implement database security controls and access management.

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting FMxC2.
• Experience supporting Air Force logistics, maintenance, readiness, sustainment, or operational systems.
• Experience supporting DoD or Air Force programs.
• Experience supporting databases utilized by COBOL and C# based enterprise applications.
• Experience implementing STIGs and database security controls.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted database environments and modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting database performance optimization and availability improvements.
• SAFe Agile experience or certification.

Clearance Requirement

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
