Job summary

Citizant is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team unwinding FMxC2 applications for the Field Maintenance Command and Control. The role offers leadership on technical initiatives, architecture decisions, and mission-critical software delivery.

We require 8+ years of software development, COBOL/C#, Agile/DevSecOps experience, and local presence in Montgomery, AL. This full-time role includes opportunities to impact modernization, cloud work, and cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership, software architecture, or lead developer support.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise software solutions.
• Experience conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and establishing software development best practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using COBOL and C#.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with source code management, version control, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Local to Montgomery, AL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting FMxC2.
• Experience supporting similar Air Force logistics, maintenance, sustainment, readiness, or operational applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and transitioning functionality from legacy technologies to modern architectures.
• Experience supporting DoD or Air Force programs.
• Experience with cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), generative AI, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics capabilities to improve software development, data analysis, operational efficiency, or decision support.
• SAFe Agile experience or certification.

Clearance Requirement

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
