Job summary

GitLab, the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate in the United States. You will help technical audiences understand and use our AI-enabled agent platforms, create demos, blog posts, and videos, and translate hands-on product experiences into practical content.

This role emphasizes relationships with customers and the developer community across US and Canada time zones, public speaking, webinars, and collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience with software development processes.
• Understanding of AI in software from coding to production.
• Ability to demo products clearly and speak at conferences.
• Experience engaging with developers, customers, or technical communities.
• Comfort working independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Dive deep into GitLab's platform, especially AI agent capabilities, and identify real-world use cases.
• Create product content including videos, blog posts, presentations, and social clips.
• Produce end-to-end video demos and collaborate with the video team for higher-production pieces.
• Deliver product demos and participate in analyst briefings.
• Engage customers through webinars, meetings, and other conversations.
• Engage with the developer community on forums, Discord, social channels, and events.
• Answer technical questions with the sales team and contribute educational content.
• Provide hands-on product feedback to product teams and test new features.
• Contribute to technical research in the developer tools landscape.
• Travel up to 20% for events and customer meetings.
