Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Developer Productivity focused on cloud infrastructure. You will design scalable internal tools to help engineers write, test, and release software with confidence.

You will re-architect build and compute infrastructure, use containerization, remote caching, and job orchestration to optimize setup and runtime, and improve workflows to reduce onboarding time and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
• Experience writing and testing software in Go, Python, or C++.
• Experience with Terraform and Bazel.
• Understanding cloud platforms architecture and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Re-architect build and compute infrastructure for a delightful developer experience.
• Use containerization, remote caching, and job orchestration to optimize build setup and runtime.
• Analyze system usage to improve time-to-insight in the build system.
• Improve developer workflows to reduce onboarding time for new developers.
• Make workflow improvements while helping the system be cost-efficient.
