Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in San Mateo, California seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to own and evolve our Kubernetes-based platform and cloud services. This hybrid role spans software and infrastructure, influencing architecture, security, and product delivery.

You will work with hardware, cloud, and security teams to improve CI/CD, reliability, and performance, while contributing to cost optimization and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps or similar infrastructure roles.
• Comfortable debugging and automating Kubernetes clusters.
• Willing to modify code (Python or Go) to fix issues.
• Experience with cloud architectures, networking, security, storage, resilience.

Responsibilities

• Re-architect and maintain the Kubernetes fleet and its supporting infrastructure.
• Improve and expand continuous delivery of the product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from hardware to cloud.
• Work with security to improve data and drone safety practices.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives to scale the platform.
