Job summary

Coinbase is hiring Senior Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group. You will design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services spanning CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.

You will own services end to end, focusing on reliability, security, and observability to improve key metrics such as build time and deployment speed. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams, drive technical designs for cross-cutting initiatives,

Qualifications

5+ years building and operating production software with distributed systems fundamentals.
Ownership from design through production in backend/platform systems.
Focus on reliability, security, and observability.
Clear communication and ability to drive projects independently with teams.
Experience in developer infrastructure or platform domains like CI/CD or build systems.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate core developer infrastructure services across CI, build systems, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure.
Improve engineering productivity metrics: build time, deploy speed, and test feedback.
Own services end to end, including architecture, observability, SLOs, and on-call operations.
Partner with engineering teams to identify pain points and drive platform improvements.
Lead technical design for cross-cutting projects and mentor engineers.
