Job summary

Mississippi State University seeks a Desktop Support Specialist III to deliver senior desktop support for the President, Provost and executive offices, while assisting Enterprise Systems support in a university IT environment.

You will handle Windows and Mac OS, AD joined workstations, and Office 365; mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-profile events and system deployments with a strong customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and 2 years’ Desktop Support II experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with VIP offices.
• Experience with Windows and Mac desktops and Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary desktop support for President, Provost, VPs, and VIP offices.
• Install/configure desktop core services across Windows and Mac systems.
• Manage AD joined workstations and mobile integration services.
• Support and mentor Desktop Support Specialist I & II.
• Participate in after-hours pager rotation and executive events.
• Resolve highly technical issues and coordinate with other ITS groups.
• Develop training materials and assist with new applications deployments.
