Duo Security, part of Cisco, seeks a Desktop Applications Engineer to expand the Duo Desktop experience on macOS and Windows. You will partner with product, design, and security teams to deliver secure, high-performing identity features and tooling.

You will write robust, testable code, review peers, and troubleshoot across development and production environments while mentoring teammates and advocating responsible AI tooling. This role emphasizes ownership and pragmatic decision-making.

Formación

• Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD + 0 years of related experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing native desktop applications for macOS using Swift programming language and SwiftUI and/or Windows programming in C# and .NET frameworks (WinForms/WPF)
• Experience building responsive user interfaces (SwiftUI or UIKit) and debugging UI issues (Xcode or other tools?)
• Experience with REST APIs and HTTP integration

Responsabilidades

• Build client features and components that run across macOS and Windows platforms.
• Write clean, testable code with unit and UI tests; perform code reviews for team members.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs in development and production environments; participate in postmortems.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, security, and product teams to integrate platform capabilities.
• May lead medium‑complexity features from design through completion.
• Share knowledge with teammates and help junior engineers grow; model responsible use of AI tooling.
• Stay current on platform frameworks and security capabilities; bring ideas for technical improvement.
• Work independently with minimal guidance to determine technical approaches.
