Job summary

Cloud Lake Technology, an Akima company, seeks a Mac Engineer II for our Ashburn, VA site to support and engineer a distributed macOS environment within a DHS-adjacent framework. You will bridge end-user support with platform engineering, handling Tier II–IV issues, packaging, security compliance, and change deployment.

Qualifications

• Independent problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking, self-direction, attention to detail, collaboration, communication, documentation, and cybersecurity awareness.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance (REQUIRED).
• Experience with macOS and enterprise device-management in large environments (1000+ devices).

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desk-side, walk-up, and appointment-based support for macOS users, including VIP and senior leadership.
• Perform Tier II–IV troubleshooting of macOS, device-management, and application issues, driving resolution before escalation.
• Resolve tickets in the ticketing system with clear documentation of steps and resolution.
• Support enterprise macOS applications (Microsoft 365, Adobe CC, browsers, VPN) and patch management across fleet.
• Package, test, and deploy macOS apps for ARM and Intel devices; create configuration profiles for new capabilities.
• Review and remediate vulnerability findings with cybersecurity; contribute to compliance reporting (mSCP).
• Configure and maintain automation tools for packaging, patching, provisioning, and identity workflows (PSSO, PIV).
• Produce technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks for operations and knowledge transfer.
