Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Training participation and engagement: self-guided, virtual, and collaborative learning.
  • Design and specify Herman Miller, Knoll and other furniture for multiple product applications.
  • Determine project requirements with COR team and industry partners.
  • Attend client meetings independently and act as a design consultant.
  • Provide design services: programming, furniture block planning, and space planning.
  • Create drawings, renderings, and specifications using CET and AutoCAD.
  • Lead showroom tours and contribute to presentations.
  • Prioritize workload independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Other duties as required.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually

Summary:

The Designer position is responsible for providing space planning, furniture applications, visualizations, specifications, and installation drawings specific to contract furniture; all while maintaining a high level of satisfaction with internal and external client groups. The position expects mentorship, commitment to the growth of the larger Design team, excellence in presentation skills, and a highly collaborative relationship with Sales peers to drive business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Trainingparticipationand engagement: self-guided, virtual, and collaborative learning
  • Design and specify Herman Miller, Knoll and other furniture for a variety of product applications, with additional willingness to learn and implement new product initiatives.
  • Determineprojectrequirements in collaboration with COR team members and industry partners
  • Attendclientmeetings independently (if applicable) and act as a consultant for industry partners
  • ProvideDesignservices that support the use of contract furniture, such as:
    • Initialprogrammingand schematic Design process
    • Designandimplementation of a furniture block plan
    • Ensuringspaceplanning for furniture is code compliant
    • Designdevelopmentsupportedbydrawingsandrenderings(usingCETandAutoCADsoftware)
    • Materialapplicationfor projects: including workstations, private offices, and ancillary spaces
    • Teamingonfield measurements and product inventories
    • Accuratedrawings,visualizations, and product specifications
  • Provenexcellencein ability to lead a client meeting and drive the Design solution
  • Provenexcellencein ability to host showroom tours and contribute to presentations
  • Capableofprioritizing workload independently

RequiredEducation,Skills,andExperience:

  • Minimum(1-5)years of professional experience in the Design industry
  • DegreeinInterior Design or related field from a CIDA accredited school
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD software, MS Office, and CET and ability tolearnnew software quickly

  • Ability to work accurately to meet deadlines by adapting to changes in work environment, work assignments,and/orchangesinprioritiesinaflexiblewaybyworkingfrom yourowninitiativeand/or following direction, policies, or procedures
  • Use analyticalanddecision-making skills to offer options and resolve problems in a variety of contexts
