Spectrum News is seeking a Senior Designer of Virtual Sets to design, develop and manage virtual and augmented reality news set pieces using Zero Density and Unreal Engine for Spectrum Networks. You will collaborate with creative and technical teams to elevate visual storytelling and ensure reliable on-air performance.

The role requires 5+ years in 3D design/animation, proficiency in C4D and Adobe, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of 3D design and animation experience.
• Proficiency in C4D and Adobe Suite; demonstrated broadcast design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, design and texturing of virtual sets for Spectrum Networks.
• Collaborate with news and creative services teams to plan and produce compelling virtual environments.
• Create animations for augmented reality and maintain/update virtual sets for ongoing excellence.
• Uphold Spectrum Networks’ style guide in all co-branded materials.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to provide updates on set development and management.

Collaborate with creative and technical teams to elevate visual storytelling, ensuring seamless operation and impactful results for Spectrum Networks. Your expertise will directly influence the quality and innovation of our on-air presentation.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Lead the development, design and texturing of virtual sets for multiple uses across Spectrum Networks
• Collaborate with news and creative services teams to plan and produce compelling virtual environments
• Utilize advanced creative skills and technology expertise to craft animations for augmented reality
• Maintain, expand and consistently update virtual sets to ensure ongoing excellence
• Uphold Spectrum Networks’ style guide in all co-branded materials
• Manage upkeep of assigned company equipment, ensuring readiness and reliability
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to introduce new design perspectives and ideas
• Attend stakeholder meetings to provide updates on set development and management

Working Conditions

• Office-based role
• Flexibility to work extended hours and adapt to schedule changes
• Travel as required

Required Qualifications
