Job summary

J. F. Ahern Co. in Fond du Lac, WI, is seeking a Senior Designer to model complex mechanical piping and plumbing systems and produce drawings, specs, calculations, and BOMs for assigned projects.

You will lead a design team, coordinate with project stakeholders, and ensure the field and shop receive what they need for productive, timely execution. Eligibility requires 3–5 years of design experience and relevant degrees.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience designing mechanical piping and/or plumbing systems.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design or Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud(Forma).
• Knowledge of Wisconsin plumbing code or mechanical piping systems.
• Ability to lead a design team’s schedule and coordinate efforts.

Responsibilities

• Model complex mechanical piping and/or plumbing systems and develop drawings, specs, calculations, and BOMs for assigned projects.
• Lead design members of project teams and coordinate comprehensive systems across divisions.
• Ensure the field/shop has what they need for efficient, timely execution.
