Job summary

LandDesign in Orlando is seeking a Senior Designer II to join our Civil Engineering team. This experienced role involves independently managing projects, coordinating budgets and schedules, and guiding Designers at all levels.

You will prepare design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software, perform engineering calculations, and liaise with clients and regulators. A PE license and strong leadership skills are required, with a track record in site design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office, and VantagePoint.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in respective state.
• Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Project Management responsibilities that include developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and leading project teams in permitting, engineering and construction activities.
• Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and other civil engineering design and modeling software.
• Complete required engineering calculations and technical summaries.
• Knowledgeable of local jurisdiction and state permitting / approval processes.
• Perform construction administration related duties such as site visits, field reports, shop drawing review, and respond to contractor RFIs.
• Able to coordinate and effectively communicate with people in other disciplines, with clients, and with jurisdiction reviewers and staff.
• Mentor, manage and train Designers.
