Job summary

CodeAI in the United States seeks a Senior Designer & Art Director to bring the brand to life across campaigns, video, social, and experiential assets. You’ll own visual direction, work with a copywriter, and produce much of the work yourself, driving consistent design systems.

You’ll lead typography, layout, color, and accessibility, collaborate with partners, and mentor junior creatives while advancing brand guidelines and innovative uses of AI in design.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years in graphic design and art direction, including time at a senior level.
• Portfolio showing hands-on design craft and integrated campaign work.
• Expert typography, layout, and composition skills.
• Experience concepting with copywriters and producing campaigns.
• Experience art directing photo or video shoots through post.
• Experience building or evolving brand guidelines.
• Experience directing the work of other creatives.
• Experience using AI tools in a creative workflow.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Agency or design studio experience and nonprofit/education brands preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the visual direction of the CodeAI brand and design the work carried by it.
• Concept integrated campaigns with your copywriter partner from brief to delivery.
• Translate ideas into a visual system that works across channels.
• Art direct shoots and manage production partners and vendors.
• Direct contract designers and creatives with clear feedback to raise quality.
• Present work to leadership with strategic reasoning and audience insights.
