Job summary

Chelsea Piers is seeking a senior-level Architect/Designer to support interior projects across our NYC facilities. You will move projects from concept through construction, leading concept design, drawings and coordination with the development and construction teams on high-traffic athletic and event spaces.

Join a team focused on transforming community spaces with strong design, technical skills, and hands-on execution from concept to handoff with external consultants as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience, ideally interior architecture/design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and construction documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts and space plans for fitout projects across Chelsea Piers facilities.
• Prepare and coordinate drawings, specifications, and finish schedules using AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Collaborate with leadership, project managers, and facility operations to carry design intent through construction.
• Research and select materials, finishes, furniture, and fixtures for high-traffic environments.
• Assist with budgets, schedules, and coordination with vendors and contractors.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing sets.
