Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design from concept through production for Infant & Kids Basics.
• Develop seasonal trend concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and color stories.
• Create CADs, design presentations, and merchandising assortments across categories.
• Design and merchandise Kids collections across product categories and markets.
• Own print, pattern, graphic, and embellishment direction throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with production, merchandising, technical design, and sales to meet cost/production requirements.
• Research market, competitors, and trends to identify opportunities for collections.
• Lead design presentations and collection reviews with senior leadership and buyers.
• Participate in fittings and product development across brands with technical teams.
• Mentor and manage assistant designers; support their development.
• Ensure on-time, on-brand delivery aligned with business objectives.

We are seeking a creative and highly collaborative Senior Childrens Designer to lead the design process from initial concept through production across seasonal domestic and international collections. The ideal candidate combines strong fashion and market awareness with technical expertise, commercial thinking, and the ability to translate trends into customer-focused product.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process from concept and trend research through production for Infant & Kids Basics
• Develop seasonal trend concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and color stories based on market research and consumer insights.
• Create detailed CADs, design presentations, and merchandising assortments across multiple product categories.
• Design and merchandise collections for Kids supporting multiple product categories and markets.
• Own and manage print, pattern, graphic, and embellishment direction throughout the design process.
• Partner closely with production, merchandising, technical design, and sales teams to develop commercially relevant, customer-focused product while meeting cost and production requirements.
• Research the market, competitors, and emerging trends to identify opportunities and translate insights into compelling seasonal collections.
• Lead design presentations and collection reviews with senior leadership, buyers, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in fittings and product development sessions across multiple brands, collaborating with technical development teams to ensure design intent and fit are achieved.
• Mentor, guide, and manage assistant designers, supporting their professional development and creative growth.
• Maintain strong communication across teams to ensure collections are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Sleepwear, activewear, swimwear, kids wear, or related apparel categories.
• Strong understanding of the complete apparel design and product development lifecycle.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and apparel CAD/design tools.
• Strong knowledge of trend forecasting, color, print, graphics, and textile direction.
• Experience presenting collections to leadership teams and buyers.
• Excellent understanding of the balance between creative design, customer needs, quality, cost, and commercial viability.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior design talent.
• Ability to manage multiple categories, projects, and seasonal deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
